Hey Student and Parents/Guardians!

This will be my 13th year of teaching and 7th year here at Oak Grove! I grew up in this area and graduated from Ledford High School in 2009. I then went on to graduate from Appalachian State University in 2013 with my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education. While there, I met my wife, Jordan. We got married in 2014 and have since been blessed with two children. Addie, our oldest, will be in 4th Grade and our son, Noah, will be in 1st Grade. They are our pride and joy!

This year at Oak Grove, I will be teaching Foundations of Math 1, Math 1, Math 1 Honors and AP Pre-Calculus. In my career, I have been blessed to be successful as evidenced by scores. Our Math 1 students have led the county for the past several years and ALL of my AP-Precalculus students have made a 3 or higher on their exam in both of my years teaching that course...This past year, I was blessed to have 41 of my 51 students make a 4 or 5 on their AP Exam!

Other than serving as a teacher, I also serve as the Math Department Chair, Assistant Wrestling Coach and our schools FCA sponsor/leader/representative. I take my job as a teacher and coach very serious and know the immense privilege it is to serve them in that role...but even more so to be someone that is a leader in a students walk of faith.
