Drivers Education
Welcome to Oak Grove High School Driver's Education
Students and Parents,
I want to keep you informed about the scheduling for Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) training. Unfortunately, we are currently behind schedule due to staffing challenges. I appreciate your patience as we work through these staffing issues to ensure we have enough instructors available to drive with our students.
I sincerely apologize for the delays in students' driving sessions. As the lead instructor, I can only work with the resources currently available. Mr. Hackett, the Driver's Education director, is aware of the staffing needs at OGHS.
Thank you for your understanding

Looking Ahead
Future Class Dates:
See Calendar link below
Please take the time to review the links below for the Driver’s Education Program.
We will announce the application open dates on the website here and also make announcements about class dates, times,
and location.
The Driver's Education Bookwork Class will be in a physical classroom using Google Classroom. Students will access and complete all assignments using their Davidson County School email accounts. During this class, students will use their school-issued Chromebook. During the Summer classes, you will use a loaned Chromebook. Please read the links below for your questions regarding the Driver’s Education Program.
The $65 Class Fee must be paid before class begins. Anyone who registers but has not paid the fee by the deadline will not be admitted to the class.*****
Students will be selected for the driving portion of Driver's Ed after completing the course's classwork. Eligibility Certificates are only good for 30 days, so students should not expect to drive for more than 30 days before their 15th birthday. If they take the class on time, at 14 1/2 or shortly after, we do our best to get them driven before their 15th birthday.
