Education

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Bloomsburg University, a Master of Education in Reading from Nova Southeastern University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a minor in Postsecondary Education, also from Nova Southeastern University.

Educational Career

I am currently in my 21st year in education. I began my career as an elementary and middle school math teacher, teaching grades 3–8 in Paterson, NJ. Over the years, I have served in a variety of leadership roles, including Supervisor of Mathematics and Science, Assistant Principal, and Principal.

Most recently, I spent three years as Principal of Passaic Academy for Science and Engineering, a grades 6–12 Career and Technical Education (CTE) school specializing in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, and Aerospace Engineering.

Personal

I grew up in New Jersey and lived there my entire life before my family and I relocated to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, last year. My husband, Alfredo, and I have three daughters—Lilliana, Isabella, and Mila—who keep life busy!  Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, cooking, and enjoying time with our husky, Duke, and our boxer, Hank.

I am truly honored to be part of the Oak Grove community and look forward to a fantastic school year ahead!
