In preparation for our inaugural year, we also are excited to invite ALL OGHS students to an OGHS Student Orientation event, which will be held on Thursday, August 24 at Oak Grove High School, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. After a general opening session, all students in attendance will receive their course schedules and participate in an abbreviated daily schedule. This will allow freshmen and sophomores to meet their teachers, get more familiar with our building and campus, and receive information that will be useful in their transition to Oak Grove High School. In addition, OGHS staff members will be on hand to assist any student or parent who wishes to pay school fees for the upcoming school year (Student Fees are $40, Band Fees are $12, and Parking Fees are $35). Attendance at Orientation is not mandatory; however, we encourage students to take advantage of this great opportunity! In addition, as a part of this event, an Informational Session will be held for the parents of freshmen and sophomores. For parents who are able to attend, this session will begin at 11:30 a.m., and will be held in the gymnasium at Oak Grove Middle School. The parent session is not required, but is being offered as a way to share information about high school policies and procedures, as well as information that is specific to Oak Grove High School.
